Gerald "G.W." Boatman

Gerald Wayne Boatman, 84, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

G.W. was born March 2, 1936 in Jacksonville, TX to the late Milton and Duffie Boatman of Jacksonville, TX. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marylois Gajeske Boatman.

G.W. served in the Coast Guard for 7 years as a cook. He then worked until he retired in construction as a superintendent.

He is survived by his son, Warren "Beau" Boatman and wife, Susan; granddaughter, Jessica Boatman; grandson, Christopher Boatman; and great-grandson, Nathan Hudson.

We would like to thank the nurses on the 300 hall of Accordius Health of Salisbury for taking such good care of our dad.

A memorial service will be held next summer in Santa Fe, TX, with family and friends, to celebrate his wonderful life.
