Geraldine Liles

Geraldine Eudy Liles, 82, of Locust, NC, passed away, Friday, November 12, 2010, at Universal Healthcare in Concord, NC. Mrs. Liles was born February 23, 1928, in Halifax County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Travis Liles; father Fred Brantley Eudy; mother, Mamie Smith Eudy; sister, Snowdean Hollowell; and grandson, Richard Barnhardt. She was a retail manager, sold Avon, and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. At other times, the family will be at the home of her son, Dennis Liles, 9408 Mission Church Road, Locust, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m, with a 30 minute state, at Community Baptist Church, 818 N. Central Ave., Locust, officiated by Rev. Ed Grover and Rev. Roy Barbee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include sons, Dennis Liles and wife, Melissa, and Lenny Liles, all of Locust; daughter, Weida Aldridge and husband, Richard, of Lake Wylie, SC; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Liles family.
