Gertrude Culp

Gertrude Addie Bassinger Culp, 96, of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Avante. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Kim Trabold, will follow in the church at 2:00 p.m. Gertrude was born on February 1, 1916, to the late Shelby Duke Bassinger and the late Jennie Wilhelm Bassinger. She is survived by a son, George H. Culp and wife, Dianne of Concord; three grandchildren, Heath Culp of Durham, Nick Culp of Chapel Hill and Katie Culp of Concord; a brother, Dwight Bassinger; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church at the address above or Covenant Presbyterian Church, 731 Union Street South, Concord, NC 28025.
