Gisela Canup

Gisela Canup, 86, of Concord, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at home with family by her side.

Gisela was born one of 24 children, on August 12, 1932 in Dessau, Germany, to the late Johann and Charletta Richter. She was also preceded in death by beloved husband, Robert Avery Canup.

Survivors include son, Robert Avery Canup, Jr. and wife, April, of the home; grandson, Aaron Avery Canup of the home; several siblings; close friends she loved like family, Michael and Stacy Crudele, and their children, Lindsay Crudele Rape and Trevor Crudele.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 11:45 am, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel.  She will be laid to rest at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens at a later date.
