Glen Roberson

Glen David Roberson, age 69 of Albemarle, passed away on September 26, 2011at CMC-Main, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 12pm until 2pm. The funeral service will follow at 2pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Pastor Stoney Benfield. The burial will be at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will meet at the home of of his daughter, Angie Davis, 413 Woodcrest Lane, Albemarle. Mr. Roberson was born in Stanly County on October 14, 1941, to the late Robert Lee and Minnie Marie Sparks Roberson. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carolyn Sue “Susie” Morgan Roberson, of the home; daughter, Angie Davis and husband Kenny of Albemarle; grandchildren, Joseph Blalock, Taylor Blalock and Conner Blalock of Albemarle; brothers, Reid Roberson and Sam Roberson both of Albemarle; sisters, Maxine Curlee of Albemarle and Marie Misenheimer of Richfield. Mr. Roberson was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Albemarle and was employed by Collins & Aikman as a fixer for 46 years. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Roberson family.
