Glenda "Millie" Williams Roberson

Glenda (Millie) Williams Roberson, 87, of Cheraw, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at Cheraw Healthcare, in Cheraw, SC.

Glenda was born August 25, 1937, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Grady Williams and the late Mary Jane Williams.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon (J. V.) Roberson Jr., son James Vernon (Jimmy) Roberson, sisters Carol Williams Helms and Jean Williams Zell.

Glenda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the Lord, and enjoyed visits from her family, watching Christian broadcasting and the Dutton Family programming. Glenda enjoyed working in the yard and spending time growing beautiful plants and flowers. She truly had a “green” thumb and passed this love on to her children and grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Maranatha Family Center, 66 Praise Lane, in Cheraw, SC. The service will be officiated by Pastor Allen Usher of Maranatha.

Survivors include, son, Jeffrey (Leah) Roberson of Mt. Holly, NC, daughter, Glenda (Bruce) Kimrey of Cheraw, SC, her grandchildren, Jessie (Alberto) Roberson Cruz, Seth Roberson, Genesis (Vance) Kimrey Harrington, and Kristen Kimrey. Her great grandchildren include Payton Harrington, Olivia Harrington, and Amelia Cruz. Still surviving are her brother Roger Williams and sister Janet (Terry) Williams Hathcock.
