Goldie Green

Goldie Reece Floyd Green, 93 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Green was born February 1, 1923 in Union County to the late James Pink and Mary Elizabeth Floyd. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, Brutus Solon Green; son, Bobby Green; sister, Ida Cagle; brothers, Dan, Harmond, Marshell, John, Jim, and Jake Floyd; and son-in-law, James (Jimmy) Barbee.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Jerry Ingle. Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Survivors include: daughter, Lucille Barbee; grandchildren, Karris and husband Doug Barbee, Kellie and husband Daren Clark; great grandchildren, Jeremy and Haylee Clark, and special four-legged friend, Miss Daisy.
