Grady Grooms

Grady Alvin Grooms, age 56, of Albemarle, NC passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his home.
Grady was born in Durham, NC to the late Luther Grooms and the late Carnedith Grooms Wiseman. He was also preceded in death by his loving companion of 20 years, Lena Sanderlin.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Stanly Gardens of Memory with Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. At other times the family will be meeting at his home.
He is survived by his son, Jordan Grooms of Florida; daughter, Angie Kimball and husband Keefer of Roxboro; brothers, Luther “Jr” Grooms and wife Virginia of Hillsborough, Billy Grooms and wife Francis of Hillsborough, and David Grooms and wife Donna of Salisbury; sisters, Pat Champion of Sanford, and Patsy Smith and husband Lee of Mebane; stepfather, Robert Wiseman of Hillsborough; 10 grandchildren; and numorous nieces and nephews.
