Granderson Harris

Granderson Wilson “Gran” Harris, 76, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. The funeral service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church 2007 Stallings Road, Harrisburg on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3 PM, with a reception following the service. Pastor Doug Agnew will officiate the service. Mr. Harris was born on March 9, 1936 in Sumner County TN, to the late Granderson Watkins Harris and Belle Ellen Dudney Harris. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Louise Harris Escue. His favorite times were spent with family and friends and to watch an Alabama football game with them was an added blessing. His faith never wavered even in times of illness. He is survived by his wife, Anne Dorris Harris of the home; daughters, Lisa Herhold and husband Steve of Virginia Beach, VA, Lori Meeks of Concord, Len Chapman and husband Mark of Concord; grandchildren, Sarah Herhold of Alexandria VA, Anne Herhold of Virginia Beach, VA, Harrison and Parker Meeks of Concord, Cecelia and Thomas Chapman of Concord; brother, Dudney Allen Harris and wife Patsy of Buckhead, GA; brother-in-law, J.C.
