Greg Clay

Greg Scott Clay, 25, of Concord, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011. He was born on April 10, 1985 in Cabarrus County to Penny Clay Barbee, of Concord. He attended Northside Baptist Church in Charlotte and was a claims representative with Allstate Insurance. Greg loved his dogs and being outside. He enjoyed working out with weights and working on cars. Greg was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in the chapel. Burial will be at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandfather, Harry Monroe Clay, of Concord; grandmother, Deanie Gardner, of Sarasota, Florida; aunts, Deana Clay Beaver, of Concord and Angie Spraker, of Florida; cousins and best friends, Charles Martin "Chaz" Beaver, III and Ella Beaver.
