Grover Beachum

Grover Devane Beachum, 86 years of age, of Richfield, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.

Mr. Beachum was born August 31, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Dudley Beachum and the late Carrie McIntyre Beachum. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Open Door Baptist Church, 24639 NC-49A in Richfield officiated by Pastor Nathan Hammill. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Shirley Beachum of Richfield; sons, Ted Beachum of Polkton, Terry Beachum of Gold Hill, and Ricky Beachum of Richfield; step children, Stephanie Blaylock of Richfield, Lisa Bowen of Albemarle, Frankie Reed of Albemarle, Ethel Hatley of Albemarle, Peggy Fury of Richfield, and Aaron Akers of West Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Almond of Ridgecrest.
