Hal Scott

Hal Kluttz Scott, 82 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Hal was born January 13, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late Leroy Scott and the late Esther Kluttz Scott. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ross Allison Scott. The memorial service will be Sunday, June 1, 2014, 4:00pm at Epworth Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Wayne Allen. There will be a private family burial at the New Gilead Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Betty June Kennedy Scott of the home; daughter, Sherry Anne Marlin and husband Rick of Concord; granddaughter, Shannon Kay Freeman; brother, Ted Lynn Scott of Concord; sister, Adelaide Scott Bonds of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews. Hal honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, 904 Cloverleaf Plaza, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
