Harold Shoe

Harold Monroe Shoe, age 77, of Locust, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Charlie Littlejohn, will be at Bethel Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 4:00pm. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Harold was born on June 29, 1935, to the late George Washington Shoe and the late Madie Shoe. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay Shoe and a son, Michael Shoe. Mr. Shoe is survived by his son, Darrell Shoe of Locust; two daughters, Darlene Harris of Oakboro, and Lori Morgan of Oakboro; four brothers, John, George, “Junebug”, and Ray Shoe; five sisters, Margaret Burris, Pauline Eudy, Dot Parsons, Faye Lambert, and Linda Almond; eight grandchildren, Dustin Shoe, Jeremy Shoe, Jon Harris, Chris Harris, Brooke Eudy, Brandi Burleson, Mikey Morgan, and Cayley Shoe; and four great grandsons. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Shoe family.
