Harriet Atkinson

Harriet Ann Atkinson, 97, of Concord, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. Mrs. Atkinson was born May 12, 1916 to the late Charles and Clara Cunningham. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband, Bruce Frank Atkinson and a son, Bruce Frank Atkinson, Jr. The graveside service, officiated by Rev. Joey Morison, will be held at Carolina Memorial Park of Kannapolis on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00pm. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Marie of Concord; five grandchildren, Carla Marie, Karen Marie, Matthew Marie and wife Janice, Julie Caldwell and husband David and Rachel Atkinson and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church 561 Union Cemetery Rd SW Concord, NC 28027. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Atkinson family.
