Harry "Pete" Jordan

Harry "Pete" Garner Jordan, 87, of Concord, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Pete was born July 1, 1932 in Concord to the late C.C. and Lillie Jordan.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Phyllis Ann Jordan; one sister; and three brothers.

Pete was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving during the Korean War.  He loved to go fishing, especially with his nephew, Gary.  Pete coached South Cabarrus Optimist baseball and football for many years.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela Campbell and Nancy (Charles) Spainhour; sons, Keith (Ester) Jordan and Rick (Susan) Jordan; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren; sister, Janie Smith.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Perry Lemmons.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
