Hatsuko Dakins

Hatsuko  Dakins, 82, of Concord, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

Mrs. Dakins was born November 10, 1937 in Okinawa, Japan to the late Seitoku Yamashiro and Tsuru Yamashiro Okinawa Japan. Hatsuko worked at Iris Creek Country Club for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed gardening and shopping. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports and attend their activities. She enjoyed traveling in her retirement with her family. Hatsuko enjoyed Sunday family lunches where she would always have a piece of cake or pie.  Anyone that knew her knows how she loved to clean and iron clothes and could often be found helping her daughter-in-laws with their laundry and housework. She believed in helping her family whenever they needed her.

Survivors include sons, Seiichi Mike (Teresa) Dakins of Concord, NC, and James (Patricia) Dakins of China Grove, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Meghan Dakins, Jessica Dakins, Tyler Dakins, Austin Dakins, Christopher Dakins (Laura), Christina Dakins (Rico). Great grandchildren Jayden, Nathan, Haylie, Amy.

The family would like to thank Atrium Hospice (Jennifer (RN) and Candace (CNA), Leslie Benton, Jessica Helms, Judy Smith, Melissa Linker and Jason Linker for their help during this very difficult time.

Memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House/Atrium Hospice.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.
