Hattie Towell

Elizabeth Sloop Towell, age 90,of Concord, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 Concord Place. Mrs. Towell was born July 19, 1922 to the late W.D. and Hattie Sloop . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Towell, Jr.; two brothers, William Sloop and Lynn Sloop; three sisters, Sudie Chaney, Narcissus Linker and Dorthy Harris. She is survived by, two step sons, Guy Towell and wife Eleanor, Clinton Towell and wife Dean; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; two sisters, Ellen Thomas and Iris Detter; a brother Daniel Sloop. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Parks. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park-Harrisburg on Monday at 11:00am, 12015 University City Blvd, Charlotte.
