Hazel Louise Herlocker Barringer, age 86, of Concord, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 20, 2013. She passed away at Transtional Health Care of Kannaoplis. Mrs. Barringer was born November 24, 1926 in Stanly County to the late John Hall Herlocker and the late Earnie Fink Herlocker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Howard, Ruth Smith, Vera Mae Herlocker and Lottie Herlocker; three brothers, Norman Herlocker, James Herlocker and Lewis Herlocker. The family will receive friends at Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church from 2:00pm until 3:30pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Michael Light and Rev. Jim Grigg,will be held in the church sanctuary on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4:00pm. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park of Kannapolis. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter Joan Dry. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Rev. Earl W. Barringer of Concord, with whom she would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on November 27th; a daughter, Joan Barringer Dry and husband Gene of Concord; two grandsons, Michael Dry and wife Tina of Richmond VA, and Jason Dry and wife Stacie of Concord; one great grandson, Lawson Earl Dry; a sister, Rachel Hartsoe and husband Gwyn of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family beyond measure. Hazel worked for Kindley Yarns for 37 years. She was a member of Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church where she and her husband served faithfully with senior citizens. Mrs. Barringer was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
