Hazel Burleson

Hazel Bost Burleson, 88 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.
Mrs. Burleson was born February 4, 1928 to the late Salmon Rickard and Eliza Whitley Bost. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hazel Thomas Burleson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Poplin Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Richard Carlisle. Burial will follow in the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery at 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle.
Survivors include: daughter, Linda and husband Elwood Smith of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Cindy and husband Mike Fortner of Forrest City AK, Erick and wife RaShonda Mintz-Smith of Harrisburg, NC; great-grandchildren, Casey Tucker, Kaylee Tucker, Kammi Tucker, Austin Smith, Erick Smith, II, and Sydney Smith.
