Hazel Chance

Hazel Virginia Chance, 96, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.

Mrs. Chance was born December 18, 1921 to the late John and Londa Barringer Chance. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters and one special nephew, Jon Chance. Hazel was known by her labor of love in the quilts that she handcrafted for friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm, Monday, April 9, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Holt. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Hazel was survived by one sister, Reba Barbee of Albemarle, NC.
