Hazel Dixon

Hazel Elizabeth Lambert Dixon, age 82, living most of her life in the Roberta Community, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Avante’ at Concord. She was born on October 8, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Evan Luther and Molly Marie Lambert. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "J.C." Dixon. Hazel was of the Baptist faith and worked at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital, Tall Boy and Red Pig. The family will receive friends at Harrisburg Baptist Church on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 2:30 until 4:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at with Rev. Buck Canupp and Rev. Leo Hawks to officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times, friends are welcome at the home of daughter, Sherry Allman at, 648 Propston Street NW, Concord. She is survived by her sons, Joe Dixon and wife, Sherry and Howard Dixon; daughters, Sherry Dixon Allman and husband, Chip, Debbie Nifong and husband, Roger, Dicie Morris and husband, Junebug; brothers, Donald and Floyd Lambert; sister, Becky Trammell; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, with one more on the way.
