Hazel Furr

Hazel Allene Furr, 88 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Mrs. Furr was born September 12, 1926 in North Carolina to the late George Washington Andrews and the late Eular Louise Andrews. She was also preceded in death by husband, Arthur James Furr, and son, Eddie Ray Furr.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle and at other times at the home of Hazel Furr. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Wayne Lisenby and Pastor Don Crusenberry. Burial will follow at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery at 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle.
Survivors include daughter, Barbara Furr Burnett of Badin, NC; granddaughters, Jann Mills of Oakboro, and Sherrie Harrington of Albemarle; grandson, Wesley Cates of Albemarle; great grandchildren, Dana Harrington, Grant Harrington, and Michaela Mills; and sister Ruby Harwood of New London.
Mrs. Furr was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Albemarle.
