Hazel Pines Mills Little, 81 years of age, of Locust, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Hazel was born September 1, 1932 in Union County to the late James Aurther Mills and the late Flonnie Belle Tucker Mills. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Aldridge; son, Charles Little; and step-mother, Sudie Mills. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Hopkins. The burial will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield. At other times the family will be gathering at the home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Ray Bennett Little of the home; four grandchildren, Keith Aldridge and Sissy of Stanfield, Sherry Adcock and husband Gabe of Murfreesboro, TN, Kelly Kimrey and husband Justin of Oakboro, and Kimberly Eury of Locust; seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Nathan, Anna, Jaxon, Maddie, and Lizzie; sister, Brenda Holmes of Marshville; and three brothers, Ted Mills of Marshville, Bob Burgess of Oakboro, Zeke Burgess of Peachland; and her beloved Jack Russell, Darla. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Little family.
