Hazeleen Smith

Hazeleen Little Smith, 88 years of age, of Locust NC, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at home. Hazeleen was born June 30, 1925 to the late John Lee Little and the late Ina Mae Little . She was also preceded in death by husband, Jacob Newell Smith, and granddaughter, Jessica Smith. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Earl Bradshaw and Rev. Jim White. Burial will follow at the Oakboro Cemetery. Survivors include son, Steven B. Smith of Indian Trail, NC; daughter, Shirley Little of Locust, NC; daughter, Bonnie Preslar and husband Truett of Oakboro, NC; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, S.J. Little of Wingate, NC; sister, Betty McCoy of Wingate, NC; daughter in law, Kathy Smith of Charlotte, NC; and "adopted son," Pete Watterson of Locust, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mill Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a long time member, at 7311 Mill Grove Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079 . Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Smith family.
