Heath James Little, 86 years of age, of Locust, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.
Heath was born October 26, 1930 in Union County to the late Sandy Arthur Little and Mildred Chaney Little. He was also preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Edith Honeycutt Little; brothers Ralph, Morris Joe, Ray and Ward Little; and son in law Ricky Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Locust, 320 South Central Ave., officiated by Rev. Tommy Ross and Rev. Douglas Van Niel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Rita Fink and her husband Bobby and daughter Lynn Taylor both of Locust; his grandchildren Amanda Tuck, Alisha Hammond, Robby Fink, Bradley Fink and Leah Spears; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Soren, Bryceson, Paxton, Aiden, Shu-Li, Carson, Quin, Connor and Raylee; sisters Virginia Wingler, and Elaine Hill; brothers, Ted Little, and Mike Little; sister in laws Mary Jean Little and Willie Honeycutt Curlee and husband Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Heath worked 50+ years at Cannon Mills and also at Honeycutt's Exxon for a number of years. He was also a member of First Baptist in Locust for over 60+ years.
