Helen Aldridge

Helen Faye Aldridge, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, June 28, 2010. She was residing at the National HealthCare Center in Anderson, S.C. at the time of her Homecoming. She, along with her husband, Andrew, previously resided at 555 Amity Avenue in Concord, N.C. Born April 9, 1919, Mom and Dad were married for 71 years prior to his death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Inez Aldridge, and two brothers, John and Wade Kluttz. Mom is survived by her daughter – Helen Hanley and husband Charles of Anderson, SC; son – Richard Aldridge of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren – Randall Austin, Justin Aldridge, Mandi York and husband Adam, and one great granddaughter – Makenzi York. Mom was a devout Christian, devoted wife, and loving Mother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved flowers and enjoyed canning vegetables from their garden. Although living in South Carolina she maintained her church membership at McGill Street Baptist. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Thursday morning, July 1 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. A chapel service at 11:00 AM will be preceded by burial in Carolina Memorial Park.
