Helen Green

Helen Mae Coy Green, 72, of Harrisburg, NC, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011, in Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast of Concord, NC. Heaven’s gates opened wide to receive its newest angel. She was well loved and will be missed dearly. Mrs. Green was born February 10, 1939 in Pennsylvania to the late Ralph Eugene Coy and Esther Lucille Wolfgang Coy. Helen came into this world among five brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Griffin; and several brothers. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m., Friday, October 7, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James “Jim” Lewis Green; daughters, Tamrah Eichinger and husband, Greg, of Charlotte and Tracie Green of Black Mountain. She worked away from the home in retail until she became Nana to Joshua Nix, Maegan Eichinger, Daniel Griffin, and Dillon Griffin. She was an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
