Helen Jeanette Shoe Harwood, 102 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.
Mrs. Harwood was born August 7, 1913 in Stanly County to the late Jesse James Shoe and the late Flora Eveann Hatley Shoe. She was also preceded in death by husband of 30 years, Ray Alexander Harwood. Helen was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Pastor David Hatley . Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park.
Survivors include son, James (Jim) Harwood, granddaughter; Jamie Hraczo and her husband Corey, grandson; Alex Harwood, great-grandchildren; Geordyn Hraczo, Xander Hraczo, and Tyler Hraczo all of Albemarle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Park Rd. #250, Charlotte, NC. 28209.
