Helen Koontz

Helen Bernice Koontz, 96 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Koontz was born October 1, 1917 in Ohio to the late Christopher Carboy McClughen and the late Julia Eva McClughen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas McLean Koontz and her son, Gary Owen Koontz.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Church in Harrisburg officiated by Rev. Doug Agnew.
Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Kay (Ed) McKnight of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, and four great-grandchildren; sister, Daisy Wilson of Cincinnati, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Church, 2007 Stallings Rd., Harrisburg, NC 28075.
