Helen Russell

Helen Elaine Lisk Russell, 94 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living of Albemarle.

Helen was born December 7, 1919 in Stanly County to the late Harris Skeen Lisk and the late Mary Lillian Wilhelm Lisk. She was also preceded in death by husband, Wade Hampton Russell in 2011.

Helen was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School, served on both the church board and was an executive board member.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the church fellowship hall at Central United Methodist Church in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Jim Yow will be in the church fellowship hall at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Central United Methodist Church, 172 North Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Gantt and husband, Jim of Albemarle; son, Wade Kent Russell and wife, Jane of Apex; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice.
