Helen Parker Smith, 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Trinity Place.
Mrs. Smith was born August 7, 1930 in Albemarle to the late Henry Marvin Parker and Maude Burleson Parker. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Willie Boyd Treece and James Tally Smith.
Helen was a longtime member of Centerview Baptist Church and was involved in church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her interests included working in the yard and cooking. Helen had a deep abiding love for both God and her family and will be greatly missed because of her generosity, her example and her kindness toward others.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM , Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Centerview Baptist Church, 508 Northeast Connector, in Albemarle officiated by Rev Todd Galloway and Rev Ron Honeycutt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
