Helen Louise Smith Whitley, 96 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at First Assembly Living Center in Concord.
Helen was born April 6, 1920 in Mount Pleasant, NC, to the late James Smith and the late Ina Smith.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Ralph Smith.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, Friday, September 9, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58. Rev. Clark Remsburg will be officiating.
Survivors include sister, Hazel Austin of Mt. Pleasant; caregiver, Dorothy Untz of Concord; and several nieces and nephews.
