Hellena Walter

Hellena Silvinski Walter 98, of 430 Brookwood Avenue NE Concord passed away on Monday, November 9, 2010 at Universal Healthcare in Concord. Born on November 13, 1911 in Ashuelot, New Hampshire to the late Marcel and Felicia Lewandowski Slivinski. Also preceded in death by her husband John A. Walter, brother Stanley Slivinski, and sisters Mary Slivinski, Genevieve Brand, and Sylvia Angeski. Hellena retired in 1980 from New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors in Bristol, CT where she worked for 30 years. As a young woman. Hellena moved with her family to Meriden, Ct where she lived most of her life. In 1998 she relocated to Concord, NC with her daughter. Hellena loved to fish on Long Island Sound. She also liked to bake and collected recipes from all over the world. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who will remember her for her generosity and sense of humor. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Survived by: daughters, Joyce M. Simone and husband Richard of Davidson, NC, and Joan M. Rose of Old Saybrook, CT; granddaughters, Sharon A. Ruzycki, and Amanda R. Ruzycki both of Old Saybrook, CT, and Dawn Marie Simone of Concord, NC; great-grandsons, Travis Shumski, Darren Shumski, Vincent Simone, and Richard Patton all of Concord, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
