Herb Hartley

Herb Hartley, 64 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

Mr. Hartley was born May 11, 1952 in Germany to the late Dwight and Irene Hartley. Herb was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, where he attended for many years. He also founded the Stanly County Astronomical Society.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

Survivors include wife of 38 years, Diane Britt Hartley; son, Michael and wife Debra Slack; daughter, Jennifer and husband Dennis Barringer; grandchildren, Jessica, Corey, and Kaitlyn; brothers, Mark, Randy, and Blan, and sister, Carmen.
