Herman Horne

Herman “Keith” Horne, age 74 of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the home of his loving sister, Dottie Phifer. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Thursday, February 16, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 17 at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Roger Thomas and Rev. Ron Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Mr. Horne was born in Anson County on May 16, 1937, to the late Herman Julius Horne and the late Alma Kiker Horne. He is survived by his wife Barbara Kay Thomas Horne, of the home; a sister, Dottie Phifer of Albemarle; four stepsons, Glenn Whitley of Asheboro, Jerry Whitley, Paul Whitley and John Whitley, all of New London; nephew, Wilson Tucker and his wife Wanda; and great nephew, Clayton Tucker, all of Albemarle.
