Herman Shue

Luther “Curley” Herman Shue, age 82 of 563 Sparta Street, Concord, NC, passed away on August 2, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm. At other times the family will meet at his home. A graveside service will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 9am in the West Concord Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Benny Creed and Rev. Andy Langford. He was born in Cabarrus County on January 4, 1929, to the late Roy Frank Shue and the late Florence Elizabeth Barnhardt Shue. He is also preceded in death by sisters, Ann McDaniel and Wanda Story; brothers, Roy and Albert Shue. Mr. Shue is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilma Pauline Barbee Shue, of the home; son, Gary Wade Shue and wife Tammy Creed Shue of Concord; brother, Bobby Shue of Concord; sisters, Eloise Almond and Margie Kiser both of Concord; grandchildren, Jodie Orange (Chase) of Concord, Jamie Cuccaro (Carmine) of Indian Head, MD. Mr. Shue was a retired, self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
