Herman Boyd “Bud†Troutman, 71, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at CMC-Union in Monroe. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 6 until 8 pm. At other times the family will gather at the home. The funeral service will be held at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12495 Philadelphia Church Road in Stanfield on Thursday April 5th at 4 pm with Rev. Dwight Mabry and Rev. Arval Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Community Baptist Church. Bud was born on January 4, 1941 in Cabarrus County. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Boyd Troutman and brothers Curtis, Gene and Don Troutman. He retired from S&D Coffee after 40 years of service. Bud is survived by his wife of 24 years Peggy Mae Clontz Troutman of the home; sons, Ronald Troutman and Sherry of VA, Tim Troutman and wife Lana of Mt. Pleasant, and Danny Troutman and wife Stacy also of Mt. Pleasant; step-sons, Jerry Clontz and wife Pat of Stanfield and Alan Clontz and wife Cathy of Monroe; step-daughter, Wanda Frye and husband Reid of Monroe; siblings, Mary Alice Crayton, James and Shirley Troutman, Virginia Kowosky, Fred and Shelby Long, Ernest Troutman, Grady and Linda Troutman, David and Sandy Troutman, Roger and Wanda Soots, Shirley Preslar, Perry and Connie Draughn, George and Janet Patterson, Bob and Martha Troutman, and Scott and Shena Troutman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Troutman family.
