Hilda Smith

Hilda Lee Phillips Bost Smith, 87 years of age, of Harrisburg, entered into Heaven on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Mrs. Smith was born February 17, 1928 in Lexington, NC to the late Ira Lee Phillips and the late Minnie Esther Phillips.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband George Calvin Durwood Bost, and her second husband Alton Boatwright Smith; brothers Kenneth Phillips, Bain Phillips, Morris Phillips and Blake Phillips; sister Marlene Phillips; and daughter in law Adona Sue Bost.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Calvin Bost of Harrisburg, NC; grandson Ronald Calvin Bost Jr. and wife Jennifer of Concord, NC; grandson Henry Lee Bost of Charlotte, NC; grandson Benjamin Seth Bost of Concord, NC; and granddaughter Aleigha Benfield of Richmond, VA and Anthony Asbury; ten great grandchildren; as well as her brother Van Buran "Willis" Phillips of Greensboro, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Pastor Mike Farley of West Concord Baptist Church, Concord, NC. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg, NC.

Hilda was a very kind, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to make people happy and was a good friend to all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Concord Baptist Church in Concord, NC.
