Honoria Serrano Silva

Honoria Serrano Silva, 88 years old, passed away on Sunday October 14, 2024, at her home. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Honoria was born February 1, 1936, to the late Camilo Serrano Arau and the late Delfina Rosado Silva. She was 1 of 13 children and was preceded by 10 in death. She is survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Our beloved mother was a strong accomplished woman who loved all her family and friends. As a single mom she persevered in raising her children to also be successful. She worked to provide for our needs and ensured that we were all educated, humble and good people. She had great love for her son-in-law, Timothy J. Sullivan, who cared for her and was by her side when she passed.

In 1984, she returned to Puerto Rico to build a beautiful home. Besides her love for her family, that home was her pride and joy. She worked into her early 80s claiming that it kept her young and strong. She was loved by her colleagues who called her grandma. She had a great sense of humor but with a strong personality which we all loved 95% of the time. We will all miss her but were blessed to have had her in our lives.

She is survived by her children, Ana Villalba, Pedro Villalba, and Carmen Iris Villalba; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
