Hoover Huneycutt

Hoover Ray Huneycutt, 80, of Oakboro, NC, passed away on April 19, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. The family will receive friends Friday, April 22 from 6-8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The service will be held Saturday, April 23 at 2 PM at East Albemarle Church of God with a 30 minute state. Rev. Harry Harwood and Rev. Danny Ray Long will officiate. The burial will be at Mountain Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, New London. Mr. Huneycutt was born in Stanly County on July 19, 1930 to the late John Ray and Onie Morgan Huneycutt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Huneycutt, and sister, Faye Furr. He was employed by Wisscassett Mills of Albmarle and attended East Albemarle Church of God. He enjoyed yard work and gardening. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Tucker of Albemarle, Lucille Harrington of Oakboro, and Doris Kiker of Albemarle.
