Hoover Osborne

Hoover Broadus Osborne Sr., 69, of 909 Spruce Street, Albemarle, NC passed away on May 11, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends Friday, May 13 from 6-8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The service will be held Saturday, May 14 at 2 PM at Plyler Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Brian Franklin will officiate the services Mr. Osborne was born in Stanly County on May 17, 1941 to the late John and Clarice Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Autie Bell Purser. Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife, Myrtle Medlin Osborne; sons, Hoover “Junior” Osborne of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Osborne of Midland, Broadus Osborne of Albemarle, Benjamin Osborne of Albemarle; daughters, Melindie Osborne of Oakboro, Tabitha Osborne of Albemarle; step-daughter, Patricia Eaton of St. Louis, MI; sisters, Vernie Dabbs of Locust, Purlie Hartsell of Albemarle, Barbara Barnhardt of Locust; and nine grandchildren. Memorials may be made to hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Osborne family.
