Horace Hinson

Horace Brunson Hinson, 86, of Zion Church Road Concord passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. He was born on February 24, 1925 in Stanly County to the late Jason and Rosa Eudy Hinson. He was also preceded in death by a son Douglas Howard Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a pipe fitter at Cannon Mills. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 5340 Flowes Store Road Concord at 4 PM on Monday, September 26th, 2011 with Rev. Marvin Honeycutt officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. At other times the family will be meeting at the home. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Howard Hinson of the home; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Hinson of Concord and Rebecca Leeann Hinson of Charlotte.
