Howard Crockett

Howard Edward Crockett, age 88, of Horizon Bay at Concord, passed away on August 7, 2011. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 11, at 11:00am at Harrisburg United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Wesley Smith. Burial will follow at 2:00pm, at Carolina Memorial Park, Harrisburg, NC, for members of the Crockett family. Mr. Crockett was born in Middle Grove, NY on October 14, 1922, to the late George Roscoe Crockett and the late Grace Howard Crockett. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Maria Johnson Crockett and a son Peter Crockett. He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Brough and husband Jay; grandchildren, Jeremy Brough and Brandy Brough Storey and husband Bobby; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Courtney Storey; brother, Horace Crockett; daughter-in-law, Joyce Crockett. Mr. Crockett was a member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church and was employed as a carpenter with ITT for 35 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
