Howard Gaskey

Howard Gaskey, 83, of Concord, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Gaskey was born April 14, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Douglas Gaskey and Alphie McDaniel Gaskey. He served in the National Guard and was a member of West Concord Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, at West Concord Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Mike Farley. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Concord. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Ruth Troutman Gaskey of the home; his daughters, Angie Ditillo and her husband, Jeff of Concord and Linda Gaskey of Cramerton; his son, Keith Gaskey and his wife, Dawn of Murrells Inlet, S. C.; grandchildren, Mack Cochran and his wife, Hope of Belmont, Lisa Ratchford and her husband, Greg of Cramerton, and Brent Cochran of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Chloe Cochran, Aura Cochran, and Gabriel Ratchford; and brothers, Harold Gaskey of Concord, Bill Gaskey of Concord, and Don Gaskey of Clover, S.C.
