Hoyle Eugene Little

Hoyle Eugene Little, 88, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Hoyle was born December 27, 1936 in Stanfield, North Carolina to the late William Lester Little and the late Ona Love Little. 

He was also preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Wall Little; son, Robert "Bobby" Michael Little; brothers, Robert Lee Little and William Keith Little; and special friend, Sue Smith Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Stanfield. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm, officiated by Reverend Bruce League. Interment will follow at the First Baptist Cemetery at 200 Hwy. 200 North, Stanfield.

Hoyle was an amazing husband, father, Daddad and great-Daddad. He was a Godly man who loved his church, family, America, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and The Lions Club. Hoyle served as Past District Governor in the North Carolina Lions Club, and held the highest award given to a Lion, the Melvin Jones Fellow. After graduating Stanfield High School in 1955, he served in the Air National Guard and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hoyle was employed by Western Electric, Burroughs Corporation (Unisys), Lenox China, and later retired as a consultant in the technology field. Hoyle was a man of faith, and although his passing will be felt by all, we can all find comfort in knowing that he is now with his Lord and Savior.

Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" (Tim Harrell) Little Bowen of Cary, NC.; grandsons, Taylor Vann (Erica) Bowen of Wilmington, NC. and Carson Stuart (Hannah Smith) Bowen, of Savannah, Georgia; and an awesome great-grandson, Banks Banning Bowen of Wilmington, NC.; sister-in-law, Alma Green Little; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like extend their deepest gratitude to all the friends, family, and most recently, the caring staff at Trinity Place for all that they have done for Hoyle and his family.
