Hoyle Lowder

Hoyle Luther Lowder, 82 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Hoyle was born August 26, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Jake Sydney Lowder and the late Esther Mae Thompson Lowder. He was also preceded in death in 2012 by his loving wife of 63 years, Jessie Mae Barbee Lowder.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Bob Cauble and Rev. Jim Yow will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Tabernacle UMC, Albemarle, NC. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

He is survived by daughter, Brenda Callicutt and husband, Jerry of Albemarle; son, Reggie (Kelly Funderburk) Lowder; grandsons, Jeremy (Sarah) Callicutt, Jason (Angie) Callicutt, and Jake (Dana) Lowder; granddaughter, Nicole (Justin) Layden; six great-grandchildren, Carter, Caroline, Taylor, and Jake Callicut, Lyles, Layden and Carson Lowder; and one sister, Marie Ussery.
