Hubert Brock

Hubert Stewart Brock, 90 years of age, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at the W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury Mr. Brock was born in Clarksville, Georgia April 11, 1921 to the late George C. Brock and the late Delia Lovell Brock. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Gragg Brock, two sisters and one brother. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Russell. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville. Survivors include his great-granddaughter, Tammy Hitchcock of Georgia; his brothers, Robert Dale Brock and his wife, Frankie, of Greenville, NC, Walter Ray Brock and his wife, Gwen, of Troy, John Brock of Arkansas; his sisters, Betty Simpson of Indiana, Mary Fisher of Indiana, and Barbara Mooney of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Brock family.
