Hubert Plummer

Hubert "Pop" Wilson Plummer, 89, of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at home with family by his side.

Hub was born July 13, 1929 at home in Cabarrus County to the late Reese and Nettie Plummer.  He was also preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Nancy Plummer; son, Jimmy Plummer; three brothers; and great granddaughter, Laney Drye.

Hub was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church, Kannapolis.  He was a hard worker.  He's a retired painter/sheetrock finisher.  He was a family man.  He was loved by everyone he met.  Hub was very kind and generous.  Hub, lovingly known as "Pop," will be greatly loved and missed.

Survivors include five children, Lewis (Vickie) Plummer, Linda Leonard, Janice (Tommy) Davis, Keith (Windy) Plummer and David Plummer; brother, R.A. Plummer; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Royal Oaks Baptist Church, 904 Texas Street, Kannapolis.  The funeral service will be on Monday at 3:00 pm at Royal Oaks Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Tim Yates.  Following the service, Hub will be laid to rest by his wife and son at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
