Ida Starnes

Ida Blanche Maness Starnes, 98, of Midland, NC passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Avante at Concord. She was born on April 30, 1912 in Moore County to the late William Robert and Lucy Ellen Davis Maness. Also preceded in death by her husband Fred Starnes, sons Bob and Jimmy, daughters Vivian, Judy, Alice Marie, and Jean. Mrs. Starnes retired from Cannon Mills, and was a member of Good Shepherd Full Gospel Church in Concord. The family meeting place will be at the home of a daughter, Betty Smith at 308 Autumn Drive Harrisburg, NC. A visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Full Gospel Church on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 11:30 until 12:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at the church at 1 PM, with the Rev. MaryAnn Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Survived by: son, Donald Starnes of Mt. Pleasant; daughters, Ruth Easley of Concord, Frances Shoe of Concord, Betty Smith of Harrisburg, Joyce Dancy of LaGrange GA; sister, Beulah Paschall of High Point; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
