Inez Burris

Inez Cranford Burris, age 84, of Albemarle, went to her eternal home on Monday, December 12, 2011, at CMC-NE. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. The funeral service will be held at Mountainview Baptist Church on Thursday, December 15 at 2 p.m., officiated by sons, Dr. Glenn Eddie Burris and Dr. Kelly Burris, with a 30 minute state. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Burris was born in Stanly County on July 9, 1927, to the late Royal Loveless Cranford and the late Martha Bailey Cranford. She is also preceded in death by her first husband of 64 years, Leonard Jack Burris. She is survived by her husband of of 14 months, Mac Don Burris, of the home; two sons, Dr. Glenn Eddie Burris and wife Carolyn of Spartanburg, SC, Dr. Kelly Burris and wife Brenda of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Michael Burris, Heather Turner and husband Scott, Dr. Matthew “Spanky” Burris and wife Katie, Sean Burris and wife Leigh Anne, Rev. Heath Burris and wife Amber; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 deceased; sisters, Lucille Burris of Palestine and Cora Lee Almond and husband Jim of Albemarle; deceased brothers, Raymond Cranford, Thurman Cranford, and Charlie Cranford; step children, Jane Garris of Albemarle, Patty Austin and husband Jimmy of Sanford, NC and Diane Spradley and husband Clayton of St. Matthews, SC; 9 step-grandchildren, 2 deceased; 18 step great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren.
